Space bee is a rock band with a unique style that incorporates a wide range of color into its music, from Arabian scales with a psychedelic ambiance to a powerful vintage rock sound. It also shows glances of latin american roots in its rhythms.

Biography

Their first international tour took place in 2004 with a trip to England where they were invited to play at the Latin American 2 East London festival. Also on the tour they performed at well known places such as Grey Horse, Candem Underworld, Dublin Castle and the Bull & Gate.

In 2007 they went to the semifinals at the most important rock band contest: The Glastonbury Festival and later that year they released “Live in Space!” their first LP. In October they traveled to Argentina where they won the semifinals at MTV’s Battle of the Bands.

In February 2009, after a year of working on the new album, they went to Ecuador to be part of the Salinas and Ambato festivals and played other shows in Quito and Guayaquil. In July they returned to Argentina to give several concerts in popular places like the Roxy de los Arcos. This trip provided a great opportunity to record the tracks of their new album released later that year: “It’s Alive! Vol I” which was first presented in Argentina on their second visit.

In 2010 they were invited to open the show for Guns n’ Roses at Lima’s Monumental Stadium and performed songs from their new CD in several shows and festivals in Peru. At present they are pre producing the material for their newest album, filming two new video clips and getting ready for a three week tour in New York City. In November they will be opening the show for Smashing Pumpkins and Stereophonics in Lima.

Closure point for 2010 was a short tour in New York performing at some small places in he Hamptons, Manhattan and Queens.
