"Space Camp: America Must Dine"

Started as a Jam band in 2003, the progressive rock band Space Camp from Madison has put out and impressive first album...
The album is less than a list of polished and prude songs, and more a comfortable compilation of improvised jam songs that greatly reflect the band's jazz and funk influences...
The album is never contrived or boring. No two songs create the same feeling in the listener...
All in all, "America Must Dine" is an exceptional first album from a local progressive jam band that anyone could easily get into.

Local jammers Space Camp are sure to raise Jerry's ghost at the release party for their spirited new CD...

"Space Camp: America Must Dine"

Unlike many bands of their ilk, these local veyors of Grateful Blues Rock remember to actually write songs between their solos...
Nice Guitar work here, and I heartily endorse the band's pro-hamburger stance. Euthanize the Shrub! - The Isthmus

Bio

Since 2003, Space Camp has been showing Wisconsin and the Midwest the evolution of jam oriented music. You won't find a 2 chord "hippie" jam here. The music of Space Camp is Progressive in both form and timbre. Taking influences from MMW to Traffic, John Scofield to Bob Dylan, or The Beatles, The Who, and The Rolling Stones, Space Camp bounced around the Madison Club Scene for a year before beginning to tour in 2005. They were signed to Drunk Telephone Records in late 2004, and currently wow audiences in venues across the midwest. In Madison, the band has developed a following as the Wednesday night house band at The Portal Music Cafe on Willy Street. This band is solid, seasoned musically, professional, unpredictable and a whole lot of fun!
