Space Ghost spent the majority of 2011 playing shows throughout Georgia and building a reputation as four young guys making emotional, frenetic music and putting together a live show that will either make you dance or fixate silently on the spectacle before you. Space Ghost hails from Athens, GA, a musically diverse locale that encourages experimentation and pastiche. And Space Ghost honors that tradition. The band pulls influence from musical heavyweights such as Portishead, Deerhunter, and Gyorgy Ligeti and seeks to combine the moody atmospheres of late-90’s space rock with the infectious grooves of electro and IDM. In the early spring of 2012, they will release their debut EP entitled Museum, a collection of songs that captures the band in an eccentric and exciting position.
