Spangler

Spangler band plays festivals, intimate coffee houses, rockin clubs, flexibly adjusting to the venue. They know who they are and are not afraid to give you what you want! Tim and Helen Spangler use rock instrumentation with folk influences, vocal harmony, mixed acoustic and electric instrumentation, major and minor key tonality, and rhythm guitar. Their songwriting is vocal centric and melodic. Helen’s songs have gentle melodies and harmonies and lean toward the abstract and spiritual while Tim has a direct rock sensibility drawing from life’s stories and emotions. Their two approaches blend well and give variety both vocally and instrumentally. Their second publication, Shiny Objects was released July 2012 features the duo plus, bluegrass master picker Matt Dudman (Pleasants Valley Boys, Jenny Lynn and Her Real Gone Daddies) on mandolin.
