SPAN PHLY

Growing up in sunny Phoenix, Arizona a young man named Jose Alberdi became fascinated with hip hop music and culture, like everyone else who shared the same passion the lifestyle consumed him. At the age of 16 this music afficionado purchased some turntables and began performing as DJ Spanish Phly at his High School and at house parties. At the age of 18 the time on the turntables was traded for the creation of beats and rhymes. Also the name would change and now he would only be known as the Span Phly. Learning early on that his strong vocabulary and opinionated demeanor would be an asset, the young emcee focused on becoming the best. Taking influence from the great hip hop innovators such as El-P, Aesop Rock, and Slug he is always focused on making records outside the metaphorical box. At the age of 22 he created Espionage Records and released his debut LP "Meet Your Master". Now performing all over the United States this well defined artist is reaching out to share his music with everyone.
