Have you ever had a feeling of needing a musical breath of fresh air? Something that varies from what everyone else is playing, listening to, or dancing together to everywhere you go. Next time you experience that feeling check out Spare Change Trio, a band that steps away from the norm. A musical blending of Reggae, roots rock & blues. The outstanding trio made up of Casey Stokes (Guitar and vocals), Sam Elliott (Bass Guitar , Didgeridoo and vocals), & Graham Brisch (percussion and vocals) are a dedicated, eclectic and talented group. The group has been focusing on gigs predominately in the Milwaukee & Madison areas. They formed in 2010 & may be young but don't let their age fool you.

They have that deep groove that whisks you off to a island feel, reminiscent of Bob Marley and the Wailers. The group will play reggae, rock favorites and an assortment of covers all while filtering in their own original flare. Spare Change Trio makes sure Marley hits truly have the groove and feel you've come to expect from those specific songs. Casey has an innate ability to flow into an impromptu ska that can definitely hold it's own. Once you get comfortable in the groove and are just having a great time, Sam surprises you again with his ability on the didgeridoo, an instrument that is not easily mastered. He embraces the culture involved and plays it as the main bass line in the song which again captivates and entertains. Graham provides a solid backbone for everything to molded onto making the trio rock solid.

It's a blast to see a band that truly enjoys the vibe they give off and embraces interacting with everyone on a personal level bringing out a completely different side to a crowd of people and removing the sterotypes normally found there. Then you get those epic moments when the guys just do something off the cuff based on a quick conversation they are having with each other or someone near stage & simply have a blast with it and you. If you have an opportunity go see the group, get a drink in your hand and prepare to put a smile o your face because you are in for a fun night.

Spare change trio also has some impressive original work and is currently working on an EP/CD with an anticipate release date in the spring of 2015. or - Jocar, Inc.

Still working on that hot first release.

Peaceful energy is at the heart of Spare Change Trio's music. They radiate the party atmosphere of the Caribbean beach with tight drums and energizing bass lines, while their iconic rock drive steers the musical journey with awe-inspiring guitar jams and vintage vocals. With the addition of Australia's mesmerizing didgeridoo Spare Change Trio has created their own genre-bending sound. Since joining forces they have learned to cross genres and embrace the exceptional from mentors such as John Butler Trio, Sublime, and CCR.

Casey Stokes: Guitar and Vocals
Playing most instruments with the soul of an accomplished artist, Stokes explodes when he is playing his guitar.  Extremely gifted is an accurate way to describe his intuitive playing.  He flows effortlessly between genres and styles, leaving masses of awe-struck fans in his wake.

Graham Brisch: Drums and Vocals

The drummer is the heart of a band, and Spare Change Trio has one spectacular heart.  Displaying huge talent at a young age, Graham might as well have been born with drum sticks in his hands. With the skill of Michael Barker and Nicky Bomba, he brings an accomplished and seasoned finish to the Spare Change Trio's sound. . Watch out!! Brisch is on the drums!!

Sam Elliott: Bass Guitar, Yidaki (Didgeridoo) and Vocals

Determined to entertain the masses, like his idols Xavier Rudd, John Butler Trio, and Nahko Bear,  Sam creates driving bass lines that make you want to commune with the Spare Change Trio vibe.  He is a master of the yidaki, (commonly known as the Didgeridoo) an Australian aboriginal root instrument, that generates a tone that is both mesmerizing and energizing.  The addition of this unique instrument completes the Trio's sound.
