S.P.A.R.K.

S.P.A.R.K. initially came into existence during the three-day Dhanaulti rock fest, where the two erstwhile bands, Highway and The Cards, fused to form S.P.A.R.K. The band returned to Delhi with some serious conviction in search of a different sound. With each member, came an essence of a different genre, from blues, rock n roll to alternative, classical to funk and even a bit of electronica. The band is evolving fast as it keeps experimenting with its sound. It is thus hard to classify the band into one genre, thereby it prefers to be labelled as 'experimental'.S.P.A.R.K. is very versatile in its sound and has written 8 songs to date, which it is in the process of recording. With a strong belief that music and the search for that perfect sound is a continuous and never-ending process, the band has also included the use of ethnic Indian instruments such as tabla and flute, besides experimenting with Indian classical music. It also experiments with various other percussion setups.
