Bio
The four guys from the Christian folk-rock band Sparrow 5 came together in the Summer of 2011, and it was a great fit from the very first practice. Matt Barnett (lead vocals, guitar), Lance Luginbill (drums, percussion, harmonica, vocals), Chris Ousley (bass guitar, vocals, keyboard), and Jake Winkler (banjo, mandolin, electric guitar) each contribute to what is a unique sound in Christian music. In the Fall of 2011, Sparrow 5 recorded a six-song EP from their own studio in their hometown of Peru, Indiana. Then in 2013, they recorded a full-length album with twelve original songs.
With a folk-rock sound, a twist of bluegrass, and powerful lyrics, Sparrow 5 is excited to see what God has planned!
