Ryan Yarmel and Cody Sparks of Rochester, NY together are Sparx & Yarms.
A unique blending of Folk and Soul with Electronic based beats and noises is how one would describe the music of Sparx & Yarms. The duo formed in 2011. Yet with little to no recordings, and playing only one single show before disappearing for a year, the fate of Sparx & Yarms was unknown.
Now emerging from the abyss, Sparx & Yarms have returned to bring even more folk-electronic goodness. With new equipment, the two have big plans for their music endeavors. Sparx & Yarms have recently released their debut LP for digital download via Bandcamp.com (http://sparxandyarms.bandcamp.com/), and are playing more gigs than ever. This most unlikely combination have stumbled into a goldmine of unique sounds and songs.
