Biography

Between a rowdy mob , and a quite conversation you will find speak!. With an in your face lyrical attack , and thoughtful, thought provokeing lyrics speak touches on everything from politics , to the state of hip hop using rap , rock and reggae somtimes in the same song to carry the message.
Starting in 2005 in the metro boston area speak came onto the scene with a plan to reshape the broken and repetitive world of hip hop. Going back to the basics of hip hop speak! choses to be blunt , thought provoking and sarcastic like many of the greats of the past. Often compared to Rage Against The Machine Meets Jay-Z And Immortal Technique , Speak! is focused on enlighting and entertaining people , as well as moving crowds of any size. Often Speak! shows are refered to as an "Amazing burst of energy " and " A Rioting Mob" which leaves all who where in attendence blown away that a hip hop act can carry the same energy and emtion as a 6 piece rock band. The focus of the speak project is not to sell records by cashing in on the same formula of money , drugs , and crime , but to try and use the platform of hip hop to entertain , and introduce in your face , funny , sarcastic , and sometimes militant flows.
Bottom Line: I Love To Play , I Am Not The Run Of The Mill BS That You Hear On Your Radio Station And Dont Intend To Be! DO NOT BE DETURED FROM THE TITLE HIP HOP! This is an orgainic music based project suitable for all ages , in all kinds of venues. I have a very large mobile fan base who will pack your venue.

Speak Is A Voice That Must Be Heard!

Lyrics

Lock It Down

Written By: Speak!

Straight out the gates with that lyrical combat
speak your piece keep it live or just fall back
fall back i look back at the roles
the roles that where playing
hip hops about feeling, not a venue for fashion
clashing, on the mic like some uncut raw, brown bricks that you hide underneath your floor boards, more , give me space and I will bust a flow , ill be blazing up tracks leave you feining for more.
People all around the world are dying, trying to uplift there people
share the struggle save some lives
lives that hang in the balance across a broad spectrum who use rap as the means to guidence and protection, to us its a weapon to break competetion, within ourselves because we cant heed the lesson,
the lesson is that we lessen ourselves , in the end we all loose if we cant reach for help

Lock it down cuz where ready for war
Blood on my hands I cant take it no more
Lock it down cuz where ready for war
Blood in the streets I cant take it no more
Lock it down cuz where ready for war
But a change gon come

America the beautiful tis of thee
where the best in the world , whys there poverty? shouldnt be nobody strugglin at the bottom of the barrel when the only thing that matters rocking fly new appareal
police are mostly trained to chop us down in the streets, send the action to production, send it back as tv ,
this is what we call are reality , the thing we line up over miles to see
the opposite of congress must be progress ,
Its the same old story though I digress,
the fight goes on no peace no rest
master speech spitter yea I passed every test
somtimes im only screaming to see if I'm still alive , its time to start healing like time after time
My pen bleeds this ink like blood in my veins,
and I spill my heart into every word on this page

Lock it down cuz where ready for war
Blood on my hands I cant take it no more
Lock it down cuz where ready for war
Blood in the streets I cant take it no more
Lock it down cuz where ready for war
But a change gon come

If you dont feel me then ill spit it reggaeton
ET MC's think its time to phone home
tonight we gon dance like there aint no tommorow
tonight we gon dance like we dont have to borrow
we tired of the pain we tired of the hurt
we tired of every deal trying to deal with this dirt
ohhhh
they just cant stop me now
they just cant stop me now
you cant stop me now
you cant stop me now

Lock it down cuz where ready for war
Blood on my hands I cant take it no more
Lock it down cuz where ready for war
Blood in the streets I cant take it no more
Lock it down cuz where ready for war
But a change gon come
