Special Feature

Special Feature is a brand new band ready to take over a larger amount of fans across Canada and all around the United States. It’s simply through their great energy and versatility on stage that they have been able to redefine music their own way and to get in everybody’s minds after each time they perform. A contagious mix of punk, rock and emocore with a dip of « something else no one can explain » is what make them truly different. 2004 is the year they’ve officialy got together, but the musical background of each member had started to evolve way before this very moment, as they were all getting in touch with their instruments throughout their first bands and shows, not too far from a decade ago…Because music means more to them than a simple way to impress friends and hot girls, Special Feature’s goal is to get people together as they themselves did and to share the greatness of art without fear or shame. In fact, their music is an open door to these « feelings no’one can explain » that can be related to every’one, the lyrics of the songs being wilfully vague but still carefully written to be sure to remain honest. It claims the discomfort of a generation, the hopes and dreams somewhere out of reach, everytime too far or too close to be real.

As the world turns around, influences of the band have changed for the best, considering what they used to listen and what they are listening right now, taking parts of the past and the present to build a brighter future. It’s been all about bands such as Saves the Day, Blink –182, Jimmy Eat World, Millencolin….Now they bath into the sounds of Underoath, Silverstein, Taking Back Sunday and many more, their music being something between.

Now with their first effort (and for sure not the last) lauched on May 14th at the Capitole of Québec with Bald Vulture and Reset (First canadian band on the Vans Warped Tour). Special Feature sees the opportunity to bring their musical project to another level. Optimistic to see great events come by, the four members band is dedicated to what they do best and fill these hopes and dreams that inspired such great songs…
