Spectre's goal is to make music that is enjoyable to listen to time and time again. Our music tends to speak to the listener about the good and bad times in their own life. Spectre can show it's teeth live, while always staying true to it's mission.

We started this project in January 2007, freezing our butts off in an old house in Covington only heated by a kerosene heater that we could barely get to work. Not to be deterred, Phil and Tony began writing songs together and that quickly interested our bass player Chris and drummer Trent. Our mission in Spectre is to create music that speaks to the listener, while being enjoyable to listen to over and over. Recently all of our energy has been devoted to capturing our sound in Phil's home studio.

Everyone has music that inspires them. These are the bands and genre's that hold dominion over our CD players:
Phil's major influences are: The Beatles, Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, Folk, and Rockabilly.
Tony's major influences are: Travis, Superdrag, Blues, and Punk.
Chris's major influences are: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Victor Wooten, Funk, and Rock.
Trent's major influences are: Tool, Coheed and Cambria, and Modern Rock.

By infusing these styles we want to make music that is marketable and enjoyable at the same time.

We are currently in the process of recording our first full length album.
