Bio
Bobby Speed is a keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist, song-writer, performer and producer whose past appearances have included such artists as Ray Parker Jr., Roger Troutman, Rick James, Kix, and New Horizons.
He has received honorable mention at The American Film Festival for his soundtrack created for a documentary on MS (a conjunctive of Jerry’s Telethon) and he is also a former Columbia Records Recording Artist from the band New Horizons.
Bobby’s musical associations read like a Rock Who’s Who list. Ritchie Sanbora (Bon Jovi), Rudy Szarzo (Whitesnake), Steve Whiteman (Kix), Eric Schabacker (Producer-Judas Priest), Lari Goss (Grammy Award Winning Producer), and George Atwell (a Michael Jackson arranger), are just a few of the people with whom he has performed or have heard of Speed's material.
Bobby Speed’s first group Bobby Speed and The Amenders(on Azra International Records)was a power group under the radar. Hitting the charts in the Nederlands on ZRO’s Metal Show 106.2FM.
The band debuted a special logo shaped picture disc with 500 actually autographed by the band. Now these disc's are proving to be a collector’s item along with other major rockers such as Gene Simmons (KISS), Scorpions, David Lee Roth, Led Zepplin, and Van Halen.
The band also hit VH-1 and played concerts with Steve Miller, Rick Ocasek, Kix, and battled White Lion on 97.9 WNCI and won on (Yes No Radio).
Now, Bobby Speed is back with a dynamic sound and the band SPEED that truly rocks.
