Spencer Teeter

I was born in Mississauga, Ontario on April 3rd, 1989. I have always loved music but never considered that it might be something I could excel at. I first picked up a guitar in my junior year of High School. All of my friends were joining bands, and my older sister had a guitar so i figured I'd give it a go. Though I only ever joined one band in high school (which lasted no more than 2 months) music had taken over my life. Playing the guitar was all I ever thought about or did. In my final year of high school I decided to teach myself how to play the piano based on the chord structures used for guitar. And finally I built up the courage to try and sing the songs that I couldn't help writing all day every day. In late 2007 I recorded an EP in my basement and brought it with me in early 2008 on a trip to San Francisco. I handed the EP out in local bars and coffee shops and managed to line up 7 gigs in the 10 days I was there. I got a much better response than I had imagined I would and a handful of people offered to pay double the amount I was asking for a copy of the EP.
In May 2008 I flew back to San Francisco to record 3 songs professionally with Producer Adam Rossi. The experience of recording in a real studio and working with someone with such knowledge and expertise was incredible. I left very satisfied with the sound of the new tracks and plan to go back and record more in late September 2008.
