SPHERES

Michael David Grant is the creator of the compelling new EDM, SPHERES. His genre-eradicated, experimental sound is a response to the upheaval he hopes to see in many of the ways of today's world. This fundamental
message is communicated throughout his finished works by the very composition of each track. His deconstructive approach to creating nontraditional freak-beats reflects the value he places on questioning complacency and improving existing systems, in music as well as society.
After collaborating with different bands for more than 5 years, Grant tired of the group dynamic and began creating music independently. He took out a loan for a Macbook to record folk music, initially, but quickly discovered that electronic music would be his voice in a world that
often aims to take it away. With music being so vital that his blood pumps at 120 BPM, but having had to search out the best form of executing his passion, an artist who lives and breathes EDM has been born.
Though an independent artist, Grant does not presume to be unaffected by other talents. He chooses to work alone, but appreciates and is inspired by others who have led the music scene to where it is today as well as those who are trekking ahead. Some of his greatest
inspirations have been Crystal Castles, mewithoutYou, and Led Zeppelin. A deconstructivist to the core, Grant is not just inspired by audio talents. The 19th century impressionist artists like Degas and Renoir are pioneers in whose footsteps he follows by breaking the barriers of pre-existing artistic expectations and creating something mysterious and brave.
