Spherm Banks

   This album is a mile stone for me as an artist, producer, writer, entertainer, and entrepreneur. It has definitely been an extreme amount of waiting time for this project to have come to fruition. The concept, approach, and delivery is new in regards to this project, as it is an inspiration from my daughter, Dasianae. I am very grateful for having the epiphany for "Live From My Smartphone!", and the urge to get something done in terms of accomplishments, as well as proving a point to my daughter...LoL!!! Over all, she and I laugh about it, and she is pleased to have seen me make significant progress with this project, especially coming out of prison with nothing more than an ideal and a plan, seeing it manifest into something. The most amazing part about this project is the simple fact that the vocals for the entire album has been recorded on my smartphone, and it sounds really good too...WoW!!! Due to circumstances, my smartphone is all I had to work with, so I just did it, and here you have it!

   In recognition of efforts and facilitation, my brother, Ebeatz of The Musik Factory is the leading producer on this project. Without him and his help, "Live From My Smartphone!" would have cost me money I did not have, as well as time I could not spare. I give a big huge thanks to him for working with me, and being patient all these years that I was gone doing time.

   My mother Cheryl, grandparents Jan & Vera, uncle Tony and aunt Stacy (more like my sister), have helped me along the way to sustain and make it through. In pursuit of the projects completion, I am homeless and have not made any money for nearly a year. I say this not for the sake of having a pity party, but to be real with you as an artist, and to you as the reader, and a fan. As you indulge in my music, you will know exactly where I am coming from and why. There is no doubt about that. I also give a big huge thanks to my homie Tay who is also my barber. He has been instrumental with my return to living a free lifestyle.

   When doing time in prison, you only have 3 things, and that is time, imagination, and yourself. With these 3 things you can literally make whatever you want to happen, happen. To clarify what I mean, doing time allows you to project what you want, focus on it, plan for it, then when you are released, that is if somebody didn't get forever and a day, then you have a chance and opportunity to manifest what you visualized and planned for.

   The theme for "Live From My Smartphone!" is to be like Nike and "Just Do It". The only thing that holds anyone back is themselves. Sometimes circumstances are the direct reasoning for disadvantages, but most of the time it is our beliefs and habits that are the obstacles in our way, which equate to you being in your own way. I came out of prison with nothing except a laser like focused mind, tenacity, determination, and a ideal with a plan. This album is meant to motivate, inspire, charge you up, push you, as well as entertain you letting you know that there is no excuse good enough to justify why you are not successful at what you wish to succeed in. Age does play a factor, circumstance plays a factor, but what else is there to blame except yourself when you are honest with yourself. Stop making excuses and get things done, and enjoy it while your are doing it...fo'Sho!
