Bio
Spider is a Jersey-based hard rock band, newly reformed after a 20 year hiatus, with the intention of getting out, playing, and having some fun doing it.
Original members are John Foxx - guitar and vocals, Spider - bass and vocals, and JW Knighton - drums extraordinaire. The newest addition is Dan D'Amore - guitar and vocals.
Writing and performing all their own songs, the band features a crisp, melodic vocal style that uses tight three part harmonies to accentuate a lyrical content that adresses emotions from anger to humor, without neglecting the rock staples of love and relationships.
Sometimes opinionated, sometimes surprising, but always entertaining, the band and the music has a "look-you-right-in-the-eye" honesty that's sometimes hard to find in this current-day music trend of sound-alike bands who stare at their feet while "performing".
Much like practically every band in existence, the bands' influences include everything and everyone they've ever heard.
