August Spies is the new singer-songwriting project by Justin Schlosberg, lead vocalist in Hell is for Heroes, a post-hardcore band from London. The band were active in the early 2000s reaching the top 20 album charts in the UK and touring extensively in Europe and elsewhere. In 2018 the band reunited to do their biggest ever headline shows, culminating in two sold-out nights at London's Shepherds Bush Empire.
August Spies marks new musical territory for Schlosberg, drawing on dark songwriting influences from Leonard Cohen to Cat Power. The new EP - Corruption of the Human Heart - is released 6 May and the lead tracks have already built a new audience in the US thanks to take up by some big hitting playlists.
