Bio

As a string band, they tend to stagger and swerve with reckless abandon to the left and right of traditional American music; their influences are as varied as their instrumentation. Steven & Jimbo have been pickin' and grinnin' together since 1997; Jenny came on board in 2004 and Jack rounded things out in the summer of 2005. Since then, they've been entertaining folks with their brand of string band songs played with a distinctly Californian swagger.

At any given performance, you'll hear some of those good ol' familiar tunes, a pinch of bluegrass, a smattering of songs from days gone by, a dollop of down-home wholesome goodness, as well as get to see them engage in principally diverse musical misadventures, shenanigans, various hi-jinks, and numerous other feats of DERRING-DO!!!

Not only do they play breakdowns and hoe downs, but they manage to throw in original numbers, songs from different genres, and tunes from around the world. Performing as a four-piece combo since the summer of 2005, these high-flying musical roustabouts are sure to entertain you with this, their debut recording entitled “New Fangled Old Time Music from Northern California.”

Some of their influences include, but are not limited to:
