Spinning Chain is based in Austin, Texas, where their driving songs and aggressive live shows are developing a loyal following in the Live Music Capital of the World.
The band, formed in late 2002, consists of singer Jimi Scott, original singer for Sony recording artists The Union Underground; guitarist Taz, of the L.A. band Cherry Street, signed to JRS/BMG and Perris Records; drummer Kelly Thomas, from the bands Bloodshot and Octane 7; and longtime Austin musician Andy Doughty on bass.
Spinning Chain has received airplay on local radio, and has been featured on the weekly Texas Shock Syndrome program on the Clear Channel Radio network. The band is currently writing, recording,
playing and expanding into regional markets.
Spinning Chain currently receive air play on 93.3 KLBJ, 101.5 KROX in Austin, TX, as well as clear channel stations KEYJ "ROCK 108" in Abilene, C101 Corpus Christi, Rock 102 The bear in Waco, 92.5 The Kat in Bay city and KFMX 94.5 in Lubbock.
