Bio

Born and raised in Chicago, IL…the Windy City is the stage from which SPINXX speaks. Using his talent as a beacon of light to stay focused on a positive path, has all boiled down to this…pen…pad…and the courage to step to the mic. In an age of material self-worth, and thugged out stupidity, a seasoned voice emerges through the smoke to plant new seeds in our society. Although the experiences of young black males from the projects tend to carry strong similarities, the expression from which these are rooted will bring you through an enlightening journey, both lyrically and spiritually. SPINXX gives a conscious and a sense of responsibility to a generation that has historically been written off and disregarded.

Some artists wait for their big break, not SPINXX, he has made his break. After perfecting his craft at hosting, he setup an in home studio and self produced his first Spoken Word album “got spinxx?” The album went on to win “Best Spoken Word CD 2002” by Underground Epics Publishing and Soulutions. During production he took time to write and co-write lyrics on Public Enemy’s own Professor Griff’s latest album, “And the Word Became Flesh” with distribution in major music markets across the country. In 2006, his next project was the Uncovered (Intro) to Kenny Latimore & Chante' Moore's Double CD Uncovered/Covered. In April 2007, he appeared on the BET J Lyric Cafe` taped in Atlanta, Georgia hosted by Sleepy Brown. Spinxx opened for Music Soul Child and the taping is set to air in June 2007.
