Bio

Spiral Arm is the solo project of Jeremy Reed Watson, lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Bluekarma. Bluekarma formed in 1998 and won the Dayton Band Playoffs the following year. Throughout their career they had the honor of playing with bands such as, Billy Corgan's Zwan, Our Lady Peace, Evanescence, Blind Melon, Plain White T's, Joan Jett, Shine down, Trapt, and many more.

With Bluekarma taking a hiatus in 2007, Jeremy began writing music on his own. With a tremendous passion in amateur astronomy and spirituality he melded the two into one and called it, Spiral Arm; which is a term for the band of stars in a spiral galaxy. Our own solar system residing in the Orion band of the Milky Way galaxy inspired the first song he wrote for the album titled, “Orion.”

“After that, the songs just seemed to pour out of me,” says Jeremy, who wrote, performed, produced, recorded, mixed and mastered the album in his home recording studio.

With the belief that every single thing is a miracle he set out to make a magical record with worldly sounds and spiritual uplifting lyrics to transcend hope to everyone who listens. He titled the record Sacred Space in honor of the sacred Universe we live in.

“A great deal of my music has been inspired by my family. Dealing with the loss of my sister at the early age of 11 has really impacted me and changed the way I look at things on a day to day basis, especially when I write a song,” Jeremy states.

When listening to Sacred Space it is evident from the very first track that he yearns for life to go on forever. In the song “Dreaming” he is singing about the lucid dreams his mother has for her lost daughter. In the last track “After The Storm” he insists he will see her again.

But death is not the focus of the album. It is very much a record about life and love. Jeremy notes, “I made this record so that as many people as possible could hear it and feel something so profoundly awesome...love.” These feelings emanate in songs like “Lady of the Forest”, an ode to Mother Nature herself, and “The Fire”, which very well could be the song that gets everyone's attention.

With the release of his debut album now available on iTunes and many other online distributors, Jeremy is very excited to bring his sound to the stage for many ears to hear and continue to write and record for many, many years to come.
