Bio
Brian Fisher and Nathan Paul started a band consisting of just one guitarist and a drummer in early 2006. After debuting as "Moska" at a benefit concert to combat slavery in third world countries at the Moorestown Friends School, they recruited close friend William Mink to play bass. Shortly after that, Sean Burcher was asked to join to play guitar and piano. Finally in November of 2006, after months of searching, AJ Salcedo was asked to sing for the band. They then decided upon the name "Spire". By the beginning of 2007 the band was ready to start playing shows. Throughout 2007, they performed regularly at various local venues, and quickly became popular with local kids and bands alike for their unique style, which is heavily due in part to Brian's intense guitar solos and experimental sounds, and AJ's inimatatable voice. On July 1, 2007, Spire played their biggest show to date, in front of a sold-out crowd at Philadelphia's historic Trocadero Theatre.
Spire has been influenced by the likes of Radiohead, Pink Floyd, The Smashing Pumpkins, Blind Melon, Cake, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, just to name a few.
