Bio

Sydney MC’s Nick Lupi (20) and Just Enuf (21) have perfected a unique approach to hip hop that presents an exciting new sound for both Obese
Records and the Australian hip hop movement.

For the boys who grew up together in Sydney’s inner western suburbs immersing themselves in music, the formation of Spit Syndicate was
a natural evolution. Sitting apart from the norm with a sophisticated sound that sees them at ease
defying the bounds of genre, Spit Syndicate cite their influences as lyrically driven artists including
Lupe Fiasco, Nas and Biggie as well as local inspirations Hilltop Hoods, Urthboy, Delta and Pegz. They have undeniably become solid fixtures on the underground hip hop scene and are ready to bring their pioneering new sound to the masses.
Their debut album ‘Towards the Light’ is an innovative and adventurous work that is replete
with pop sensibilities and an underground intensity that showcases the skills of these two prodigious rappers. Production credits feature foundational
members of the Australian hip hop movement, including M-Phazes, Jase and Fame, along with a
number of new faces, highlighting the constant evolution of this increasingly influential movement
in Australian music.

Spit Syndicate’s dynamic live show testifies to this crew’s monster reputation and demonstrates their
ability to rock at a level well beyond their years. They have featured on recordings by The Tongue, Swarmy, 13th Son, Hyjak N Torcha and were
a highlight of the Obese Records Block Party tour in 2008. They will be touring Australia later this
year, bringing the sound that has already supported an entourage of international hip hop greats including Xzibit, Ice Cube and Lupe
Fiasco.

Watch this space, big things are sure to come.
