Spoken Thought

Spoken Thought has been a part of Miami’s growing hip hop scene since 2005. Comprised of two MCs, (Joe Turman, 23; Real Cypha, 21) Spoken Thought represents a new generation of hip hop. Drawing influences from the “old school,” (A Tribe Called Quest, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane) as well as contemporary artists, (Outkast, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco) Spoken Thought is quickly branding it’s name into the hip hop community. Spoken Thought released the mixtape “Beware the False Profit” in 2008, which went on to be a local success, selling over 10,000 copies in Dade County alone. Spoken Thought is signed to the indie label AVX which features other hip hop sensations such as Basic Vocab and Dynas. Spoken Thought’s debut album, “And So It Begins,” is produced solely by platinum plaque winning Tony Galvin and will be released in the 4th quarter of 2010.
