Spook Hill

‘SPOOK HILL’ is a four piece band made up of like minded musicians who seek to create the music they need to create.

Jeremy Blue is our eminent front man. He plays rhythm and slide guitar and handles the lead vocals. He has a booming voice that seems to come from everywhere and nowhere - hard to pin down.

Mike Burns handles lead guitar duties and takes the music to a whole new place. His influences show but his sheer musicianship and originality shine through.

Ben Axford is the bass man. His musical pedigree shows with a knack of knowing what is needed and when. He lays a solid foundation with our drummer and his skills the technical side is invaluable.

Russell Sullivan is a musician - pure and simple. His ear is finetuned, his timing impeccable and his ability to read the play is vital. He is a teacher of music so he is our “Mr Music”.

The band formed after some casual jam sessions held at Ben’s house became something more, a lot more.

We started laying out some covers and then realised we had the ability to compose good songs. We stuck with some of the covers we did but now a majority of our set is all original. We love to play and get the hairs on the back of our necks to stand up and dance, as well as the crowd.

You could call us a blues band but then again we are not. We draw from a lot of different styles and pride ourselves on knowing what good music is.

We play good music. That’s all...
