The best kept secret in music

"South By Inner West Festival"

...And then there's the surprise you were looking for. Melbourne's Spoonful, with Rocket Science's Kit Warhurst on drums, are mining a fine retro lode of British blues/soul of the 60's. Throw in some Booker T or Georgie Fame organ, among the Cream overtones and a suitably epileptic version of The Stones' version of Buddy Holly's Not Fade Away, and this is the band to get bad-dancingly maggot to. - Drum Media

Spoonful's first album was a live recording: "Spoonful: Live at the Clifton Hill Hotel".
Their latest album "Shake" was recorded at Eastern Bloc Studios with Jonathan Burnside and was launched on June 3rd, 2006.
