Spoon River String Band

Lacey, Noah, Nathan, Seth, and Cow started S.R.S.B. Since conception we've been going down the road of the 'bar scene' as well as hosting a bluegrass jam on Sunday's at Budde's in our hometown of Galesburg, Illinois. We were also excited to learn that the local country radio station 'FM95' asked us to do an interview and play for them back in September. Since then, the band has been playing throughout West Central Illinois and working out the kinks of the band while continually writing original music to be taken on the road. Our stronger influences would be from most of the bands that we cover. Those bands being Old Crow Medicine Show, Yonder Mountain String Band, Allison Krauss. We like to think that what sets us apart from other bands is our originality. Well, sure, any band can say that, but we honestly write most of our songs from the seats of canoes floatin down a river. We think that kind of freedom is reflected in our music and that people like to relate as such.
