Jeni Magana

Jeni Magana

 Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Take the groove of John Mayer, give it the intensity of Incubus with the wisdom of Bob Dylan...and put Damien Rice's acoustic guitar in its hands. Throw in Gillian Welch's harmonies and you've got The Polaroid Truth. Like Gandhi: wise, calm and fierce. Can be played with full band or acoustic.

The Polaroid Truth has been hailed as "a unity of opposites that is sure to warm your evening and enrich your soul" (East Village Coffee Lounge). Coming from very different backgrounds, Jeff Fettig and Jeni Magana aim to do just that - combine their unique experiences to deliver an entertaining but honest message. Their music has been compared to Damien Rice and Brett Dennen, but they are quickly carving out their own niche in the acoustic genre.

The duo recently spent a month on tour in California promoting their debut release, ”Last Day as Children”. They also made a special live appearance on the CosMix 92.1 FM, where they were said to be "better than Damien (Rice)" in an interview. Their track Mind Over Heart is now making regular playlists on the online radio stations; Sentient Radio and String-Theory, as well as National Public Radio WJCT 89.9 FM based in Jacksonville, FL.

Jeff's Bio--

While at Berklee College of Music, he formed a rock group that played several shows in the area. After a year of rock'n'roll, he realized he missed the sounds of acoustic music and so he picked up his acoustic guitar and started working on a new repretoire of songs, which formed the basis and idea for The Polaroid Truth.
