SPRAINED COOKIES

Cecilia Frusciante di Benevento e Corrado Maria De Santis di Roma: dal loro incontro artistico è nata l'idea di dedicarsi alla composizione di brani “slogati”.
Cecilia è la voce nonché autrice dei testi in lingua ingles...e dei Cookies, mentre Corrado, chitarrista dalla lunga esperienza in altri progetti, cura la parte strumentale. Gli Sprained Cookies toccano il fuoco, si bruciano piuttosto che riposare nella noia del tempo e svanire, giocano con i propri diavoli, quelli che danno il tormento, ma che segnano le passioni di un’ esistenza.
A Febbraio 2011 pubblicano il loro primo EP Deliverin’ The Sacred Feathered One(etichetta 29Records/distribuzione digitale Believe), 5 brani (More, The Squeak, Home Home, A Vicious Way, Hedges And Corals) dalla forte influenza psychobluesy-folk, dove prende coraggio la necessità di abbandonare il pesante corpo nel quale restiamo imprigionati per così correre d’anima. Sempre a Febbraio presentano i brani del nuovo EP aprendo prima il concerto di Fran Healy(Travis-GB) al Circolo degli Artisti di Roma, poi di Luis Francesco Arena(FR) e Laura Meyer(USA). Ad Aprile vincono l’Italia Wave Band che gli permette di entrare a fare parte del cast dell’ Italia Wave Love Festival 2011. Intanto il brano More entra in rotazione radiofonica sulle emittenti del circuito indipendente italiano, invece il brano The Squeak viene scelto per la Compilation di Italia Wave resa disponibile con il download dal sito di XL La Repubblica. A Luglio sono a Lecce per prendere parte all’Italia Wave Love Festival nell’edizione di Lou Reed, “infiammando” lo Psycho Stage con i brani del loro Deliverin’ the Sacred Feathered One.

The Sprained Cookies are a totally unique musical experience.
The duo formed during the summer ‘09 from Cecilia Frusciante and Corrado Maria De Santis.
Cecilia is from Benevento, Corrado is from Rome: by this artistic encounter born the idea in focusing on the composition of "sprained" songs.
Cecilia is the voice and the author of the lyrics in english, whereas Corrado is the guitarist and he creates the instrumental sections.
The Sprained Cookies touch the fire, they prefer to burn instead of resting in boredom of time and evanesce.
They like to play with their devils that give 'em plague and they impress passions of a whole existence like that!
On february 2011 they'll publish their first Ep Deliverin' The Sacred Feathered One (29Records label), 5 songs (More, The Squeak, Home Home, A Vicious Way, Hedges and Corals), strongly influenced by a psychobluesy-folk mood, where the urgent need to abandon our heavy body and then run fast with only our soul on, take place.
