Spun Rivals are one Scot and two Aussies writing pop songs about modern life inspired by all sounds indie, post punk and electro, delivered with spirit and conviction.
Last year saw the band release their debut EP to critical acclaim. Since then the band enjoyed a popular residency at Melbourne institute The Tote. The band has also been hitting it hard on the live circuit playing along side bands such as Cut Off Your Hands, Little Red, Violent Soho, Cloud Control, Spod, Oh Mercy, The Fearless Vampire Killers, Ground Components, Skybombers and The Silents where they have gained a reputation as an exciting, tight and edgy live act.
Spun Rivals have just completed recording their second EP with acclaimed producer Steven Schram (Little Red, Little Birdy, Ground Components) with the target to make a raw and honest pop record. The results perfectly capture the turbulent intensity of the band's live shows coupled with the bands pop sensibilities.
Spun Rivals are preparing for the release of the new EP and plan to tour and promote it extensively throughout the country.
