Da Spyda,
Crunk, Fi and energetic. These are the words to describe Spyda. At only 17 years old Spyda has a lot to be thankful for.
Born Marcus Allen Griffin he is the youngest of three siblings. Spyda was reared by his father at the absence of his mother. He states that his ability to endure change is his most positive attribute.
Determined to catch the ears of his peers, the emcee raps his way threw his life experiences as his primary source of lyrical content.
Staying true to his southern roots, Spyda lends his inspiration to the Southern emcee's, T.I, Ludacris, Outkast and Lil Jon. Spyda is no stranger to show performances, he has entertained crowds at several DTLR clothing stores grand openings hosted by Hot 107.9 own CoCo Brother, and from cranking up crowds at parks clubs etc... He has also rocked the crowds at Club La Vela in Panama City Beach during the annual Spring Break fest.
Spitting and writing verses since the age of 9, Spyda has matured greatly. He is not the typical teenager, Spyda is more focused on his work rather than going to the mall and movies and most kids his age do. "From Atlanta's own Hitman Sammy Sam, this kid can write his butt off", is just one of the many acknowledgements he has obtained while working around industry likes. Spyda has been studying drama and acting for over the last year. He states that he is using those skills when he performs to catch and move his audience. " To me rapping is not a challenge rather a gift".
Spyda has recently been crowned the Hot107.9 freestyle Friday Champion. 2/11/2005
