The best kept secret in music
Press
What I like most about Square Wave Punch is that their songs are immediately familiar, albiet unapologetic. These are songs that you will remember. And for a gal who favors music that she can sing/dance/bobhead along to, this is exactly up my alley.
But that's not to say that there isn't real talent behind this three piece Jersey band -- their debut EP is only half the fun. After you expose yourself to the witticism of lead singer/guitarist Sean Kiely’s lyrics backed by a surfer-psych indie pop (think a more melodic Pavement), you then must see them play live.
When? This Saturday. Why? Because I've seen them three times now, and never cease to be impressed. - The Underrated Blog

Bio
Square Wave Punch formed in 2006. The band is not overly mannered or overly produced, they simply go out and play as intensely and passionately as possible. Major influences include The Beatles, Pavement, and Elvis Costello. From that list, one can gather that there is a strong emphasis on melody and lyrical content. The songs are satisfying to hear live because of the band members' musicianship, and the music continues to satisfy when fans take the EP out and give a listen at home.
