Sentimentality and a sacred thread of reason combine Sridhar’s virtuoso mastery of technique and passion-filled exposition of sonic landscapes. Fusing progressive minded thinking of the 70s with the ambient intentions of modern minimalism, Sridhar unleashes from ethereal and complex emotions, onto the invisible contours of symphonic artistry, creating a singular yet multifaceted language of his own.

Sridhar is the progressive rock project of Sridharan Ravichandran, a Berlin-based guitarist, composer, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He is also widely regarded as a guitar virtuoso. Originally from the dusty streets of south India, Sridhar launched his self-produced debut solo album a few years later in Singapore, in the summer of 2009. Titled Transcend, the record debuted in the top 50 on CDbaby charts and went on to recieve critical acclaim from across the globe. His sophomore record Afterward, and the follow up to Transcend, was launched in the summer of 2010 and serves as a tribute to the multitude of influences in Sridhar’s musical journey, inspired by sounds from heavy metal to electronically synthesized soundscapes. Miles [2012] is the latest offering from Sridhar, which represents a slightly different direction, choosing vocals over instrumental leads, and going for a more aggressive, energetic sound.
