San-City born, San-City raised, S-Squad Entertainments have been grinding hard for years trying to generate a buzz in the small town of Sanford North Carolina. The self proclaimed movement was founded by Anthony “Rebel” Reid and AJ “Playboy Slim” Alston two child hood friends. Throughout middle school, and high school the duo recruited childhood friends who took music as serious as they did. Mario “Avanew” cousin of the two, friend Terrell “The King” Flow, and Chris “Echo” Terry later joint the group. Generating a buzz throughout the school yard hall ways by battling other artist, trash can ciphers, and passing out promotional Cds the group plans were to plant there name into people heads. After graduating from high school the group started generating a bigger buzz. With the help of in-house production by Bad Luk and beat prodigy B-Montana, S-Squad singles such as “Banks Folds” & “Air Force 1’s” were local hits. Gemstar of Dub Planet Records brought the group to the next level by throwing shows and parties for the group to perform in. S-Squad has recently been featured on several mixtapes, such as Gemstar’s “The Streets gone Burn Vol. 2” Lethal’s “Back on tha Market” and Greens “Carolina Thang vol. 1”and will be featured on Arlis Michaels & Mook Diamonds “REAL TALK TV” DVD series. Currently the group is hard at work in there highly anticipated mixtape titled “S-Squad Presents: THE MOVEMENT”. and front man Echo’s “2 & 20 Grams”.
