In the winter of Chicago 2009, Hip Hop producer “Lemoyne Alexander” decided after being behind the music of Artists like (R.Kelly, Aaliyah, K-Ci & JoJo, Fat Joe, Scarface) to name a few for more than 20 years. it was only a matter of time before he realized he needed to take charge and step out in front with his own rock band.. A year later and 3 new members ‘ST8 OF GRACE was born “Lemoyne Alexander”,”Ben Stickland”, “Brad Bersano” and “Senuwell Smith” Recorded their first CD titled “Immune” from his house during the winter. Over the next few years, the band played throughout the Chicago scene earning a strong reputation of being a great live band. With mild success of their debut, “ST8 OF GRACE” live shows captured more attention and began increasing throughout the chicago area gaining attention from Radio, Music videos and Magazine articles. “Brad Bersano” and “Senuwell smith” was soon replaced by “Tony Spalla” and “Dave Moreno”. In 2013 “ST8 OF GRACE released their Second CD “Hereafter” After releasing the first ambitious single "Not Myself" the band gained more fans and exposure building an unprecedented following playing with acts like "George Clinton" "Against Me" and "Screaming Females" According to “Ranker” the band was ranked as the top ten opening act in America. charting 3 singles on the independent rock charts, one that would be featured on a FEARnet channel horror series Twisted Tales “Left 4 Dead” Episode Directed by Tom Holland. The band would earn accolades with the unreleased classic “Killer Queen” joined by Icons Of Rock “Queen” retaining more exposure than all of their singles combined from their second CD. Eventually “Tony Spalla” would be replaced by “Randy Torgensen” and with this line-up head back to the studio to record a new CD while the band tackled various personal issues during the making of their new CD decided to take a break. During their hiatus Lemoyne Suffered a tragic Motorcycle accident that nearly took his life and the album would be put on hold Releasing a live record “Parasite” instead. The following year Lemoyne would return to the studio to continue the new CD as a one man project released in 2016 as “Thisendlesswar” gaining popularity from long awaited fans. Music Connection writer “Eric Harabadian” wrote “The Chicago-based quintet St8 of Grace balances the worlds of rock and pop with gusto and sophistication. The gusto comes from heavy-duty guitars and muscular drums. The sophistication is displayed in the arrangements and the way they stack their harmonies. Two examples are the tracks “Chasing Time” and “Close Your Eyes.” The former grabs you with a soulful Kings X meets Lenny Kravitz kind of sensibility, and the latter is an anthemic blend of spacey electronica and tempered emotion. Their musical diversity may be daunting, but don’t let that deter you. Releasing only one single “Chasing Time” and only one music video from the CD with an entirely new line-up would prove their staying power. 2017, The new line-up “Steve Stone”, “Ben Mason”, “Jordan Dahl” and “Lemoyne Alexander” decided to take a whole new approach, a whole new sound and a whole new look as a quartet. Recording a new CD comepletely raw with No Studio tricks and No holds barred. A complete joint effort as a full band venturing into NU-METAL territory. A high energy effort with an unrelenting Nu-Metal approach. Lemoyne says” this particular CD represents us as a new band” focusing primarily on guitar arrangement, expansive melodies, lush instrumentation, and hauntingly hypnotic words. the only tradition they’ll be keeping is the cover concept and this one is a NU-METAL version of an old Prince classic.This fresh new line-up builds its most infectious, invigorating, and incendiary body of work to date Titled “Rise Above It” expected release date this fall of 2017. S.o.G fans will be Mesmerized by this new transformation fueled with a NU-METAL edge for their 4th CD and With this new CD, they will EMERGE like never before.
