BandRockAlternative

Stable Daze has something, something that makes you want to be part of them. They draw you in and rock you. Their energy is powerful, intoxicating and worth every late night. They are more than a fad; they are real, in your face, raw talent with the desire to be bigger than life.

Biography

Stable Daze, originally formed in April of two thousand five, is a combination of youth, ambition, knowledge, and experience. Although their ages range from twenty-three to thirty-five, they have great chemistry and remain close friends.

The two founding members of Stable Daze are Mike Staebell and Bruce Day, who met as fellow solo acoustic performers from Cedar Falls, IA. Both had played acoustic solo shows and once the two hooked up on stage, they have yet to look back. The addition of a drummer was needed after Bruce and Mike decided to enter their first battle of the bands.

Travis Mead, an old coworker of Staebell’s was the first to audition, and he would be the last. His tasteful, powerful, yet simple grooves add to Staebell and Day’s intricate fusion of soulful melody and awe-inspiring rock and roll.

Davis Michaelson, who is a master of many musical instruments, filled in the final missing piece on the bass guitar. A classical music composer, piano virtuoso, and guitar guru chose to leave other endeavors for Stable Daze. His basslines pull everything together, and create a sound which is unique, innovative, yet classically simple all at the same time.

Their original songs tell stories of lost love, self-improvement, self-doubt, and the moments we define our lives by. Day’s vocals and stage presence combine flawlessly with Staebell’s harmonies and lead guitar licks. Their three part harmonies, endless jams, and head bobbing cover tunes make Stable Daze an authentic, enjoyable, and satisfying rollercoaster ride of musicianship.

See You

Written By: Bruce Day of Stable Daze

lost in this crazy world -- not knowing where to turn -- you try and find happiness -- to get you out of emptyness -- yousay your finally gonna get things done -- you always turn and run -- and there's nothing wrong withj having fun -- make sure you only have some -- you gotta say goodbye -- have to know why, maybe i'll -- see you around -- on the upside of town -- i'll always know where you are so i gotta, see you around -- all you got left to do -- is do do do -- cause everytime you get things right -- you're one up in the fight -- remember the good things -- there'es too many more to come, so i gotta -- see you around -- on the old side of town -- i'll always know where you are -- so i gotta, see you around -- find yourself in this crazy world so people turn to you -- i know you'll find that happiness -- to fill this hole inside, cause you said... -- see you around -- on the upside of town -- i'll always know where you are so i gotta, see you around

Spicy Mexican Burrito

Written By: Mike Staebell & Bruce Day of Stable Daze

not quite so harmless, always interruption -- wonder if you want some company -- stay on your toes and you'll be spotted for miles -- and you'll go down in history (hey hey hey) -- infringed my thoughts but not a simple suggestion -- biased opinion with zero experience -- blinders hide unavoidable drama -- transparant shiles can't block everything -- all in with only one guarantee -- out come nothing but a certainty -- time not retrieved, just a waste of energy -- and this is no big mystery -- before it goes that way -- instead of you just wiggling yourself into my brain -- you gotta know which way to go -- (hey hey hey) -- insane to think about wanting nothing to think about -- straight up clueless to the rest of the world -- guess that means you're exactly what i need -- remember why you're not with anyone -- can't handle the stupidity -- the dumbass, turns out to be me -- falling faster than a bird without wings -- not my type of charity -- initial reactions happen -- there's no such thing as benefits with resposibility -- you gotta know which way to go -- (hey hey hey)

Wierdo for Always

Written By: Bruce Day of Stable Daze

i got somethin' for you -- everything that you need -- i got words to tell you -- give your attention to me -- riddle me this and riddle me that -- where the fuck is my brain at -- i said things are not peachy -- the world is not what it seems -- stop and enjoy these times that are into my mind and out of this world -- stop and remember life is something that is cherisable -- stop acting foolish like you're better than impenatrable -- stop and rock out the music is into my mind blow you out of this world -- my mind is out of this world -- nervous to succeed -- failures on my mind -- i'm a wierdo for always -- cause i'm here all the time -- future me who will that be -- i choose my destiny -- wake 'n' shake at 1:30 -- and i'm feelin' lazy -- stop and enjoy these times that are into my mind and out of this world -- stop and remember life is something that is cherisable -- stop acting foolish like you're better than impenatrable -- stop and rock out the music is into my mind blow you out of this world -- my mind is out of this world -- i forgot what i was doing -- cause it's into my mind and i'm out of this world -- stop and enjoy these times that are into my mind and out of this world -- stop and remember life is something that is cherisable -- stop acting foolish like you're better than impenatrable -- stop and rock out the music is into my mind blow you out of this world -- my mind is out of this world

Consequence

Written By: Bruce Day of Stable Daze

Toasted when I met you -- thought it was all left behind -- the hazel about you -- left me pictures of your eyes -- on the tip of the back of my mind -- is where you stay and belong -- dared me to open my mind -- loving is consequence -- honestly i had thought about you -- but now that we'd spent some time -- I'm not really for sure just what to do -- you're the only thought of mine -- how much not too much could it be -- not enough for me to feel free -- cause i'm not ready for anything -- loving is consequence -- definately opened up my mind -- crazy how you ended up where you did -- funny how you dug what i said and you would -- glad i could save you from no real danger -- infatuation overcame, as it does, not always will -- giving yourself into this sweet temptation -- so i guess we'll wait and see -- if it's to be then it will be -- but there are so many things i need -- to figure out about me -- loving is consequence
