Bio
Stacey Atkinson is an east coast Canadian songwriter best known for writing simple melodies and honest lyrics, and is influenced by rock artists such as Sheryl Crow.
Born and raised in Moncton, New Brunswick, Stacey was influenced early in life by her father’s old country albums and her mother’s early rock and roll 45s. At the age of 13, she found an old bowed-neck guitar in her mother’s closet and soon learned how to play and write songs. Stacey started her musical career performing solo and with friends in local pubs throughout the east coast. Now living in Ottawa, Ontario, Stacey focuses on songwriting and the eternal quest to match beautiful melodies with unique lyrical perspectives to create songs that are truthful and connect with the listener.

- "You Shine" received Honourable Mention at the 2005 We Are Listening International Singer/Songwriter Awards and placed in the Semi-Finals of the UK International Song Writing Competition.
