Lyrics

I am Thankful

Written By: Stacey Larkins

Do you know I watch you sleep
At Night
I am truly blessed
that you are by my side

For a long time
I was feeling down
You changed my whole world
and showed me what love is all about

And I am thankful you're in my life
You are an angel
my shining knight
You are a gift send to me from up above
I cherish each moment I spend in your arms

Do you know before we met
I was hurt
I've been through my ups and downs with my heart

Then you came around
In you hope I found
You proved yourself to be
all the man I'll ever need

And I am thankful you're in my life
You are an angel
my shining knight
You are a gift send to me from up above
I cherish each moment I spend in your arms

I never thought I could feel this way
my feel
My love for you has grown everyday
I hope I can be all that you are to me

And I am thankful you're in my life
You are an angel
my shining knight
You are a gift send to me from up above
I cherish each moment I spend in your arms

Mundane Reality

Written By: Stacey Larkins

Oh No,
Please, it can’t be true
It’s my alarm clock telling me off to work for you

Same time and place
Same people everyday
Same fake smile I put on my face
Before I walk through the dreaded door

Chorus

I live in my daydreams
Where my fantasies exist
I’m tired of the routine
Is there more to life than this?
My mundane reality
Is driving me insane
There’s got to be more to my life than this

Verse

I feel trapped like an insect in a spiders web
I wanna break free from this rat race
Consuming me and fly away instead

Who has the answer to the code
Or the key to where true joy unfolds
If you have the secret, please just let me know

Chorus
I live in my daydreams
Where my fantasies exist
I’m tired of the routine
Is there more to life than this?
My mundane reality
Is driving me insane
There’s got to be more to my life than this

Bridge
I turn on the T.V
And I sometimes see
People living lives I’d like to live
And suddenly I lose myself in them
For a moment,
I try, to transport my mind
Outta this state to another place and time

Chorus
I live in my daydreams
Where my fantasies exist
I’m tired of the routine
Is there more to life than this?
My mundane reality
Is driving me insane
There’s got to be more to my life than this

360 degree destination

Written By: Stacey Larkins

He travels through miles of interpretation,
Just so he can make the proper transformation.

He wants to be what she craves,
Can the answer be found in how she behaves?

She’s a puzzle composed of mismatched pieces,
I’d say, the subject of a complex thesis.

He’s on a trip to a 360 degree location,
He takes the merry go round,
Yes, the one without a direct destination.

He wishes to see her,
She can’t commit,
After all, her time is a commodity
And that fact she refuses to omit.

With both, excuses reign supreme
It’s what she gives, and he accepts,
And uses to avoid blame.

If luck is on the menu,
Breadcrumbs are tossed his way,
He gleefully collects them,
Besides, it boosts her ego anyway.

He ponders, if they met years ago when his ego was intact
She’d be right where he needed her,
Just like that.

He wants her more,
She wants him less,
She desires him more,
When he desires her less.

It’s called “the never ending game”
That keeps being played.
Has the line been drawn, or is he content with things remaining the same?

She’s a mystery, completely unsolved,
I ask, is the problem worth solving or not at all?

That’s an answer for him to decide,
Until then, he’ll continue on that 360 degree ride.
