Strong Enough

Strong Enough
(Watkins/Ogden)
doc: September 2010

You think that you can treat me like
Some little girl who just won’t fight
But you don’t know me

You think that you can keep me down
Stomp my dreams into the ground
Oh, but you don’t me
You think I’ll cave, that I’ll cry
I’d never leave or say goodbye
I am strong enough to stand alone
I’m strong enough to walk right out that door
Don’t think I won’t
It’s been long enough, I should’ve known
You’d never change, can’t do this anymore
Oh, no I won’t
You’re thinking that I’m weak, but honey you will see
I’m strong enough, I’m strong enough, I’m strong enough
Afraid of standing up to you
I hid my feelings & withdrew
I didn’t know me

Till deep within I finally found
A woman that won’t be pushed around
Watch me and see (watch me and see)

Oh you’ll be shocked, you’ll be surprised
I’ll pack my things & won’t even cry

Chorus II I am strong enough to stand alone
I’m strong enough to walk right out that door
Don’t think I won’t
It’s been long enough, I should’ve known
You’d never change, can’t do this anymore
Oh, no I won’t
You’re thinking that I’m weak, but honey you will see
I’m strong enough, I’m strong enough, I’m strong enough
Bridge: Oh I’ve started to believe in, believe in myself
I won’t take this from you or anybody else
I’ve taken back my pride and escaped from your hell
Don’t need approval from a man
Now that I know who I am

Chorus III I am strong enough to stand alone
I’m strong enough to walk right out that door
Don’t think I won’t
It’s been long enough, I should’ve known
You’d never change, can’t do this anymore
Oh, no I won’t
You’re thinking that I’m weak
That I’ll never break free
Oh honey you will see how fearless I can be
I’m strong enough, I’m strong enough, I’m strong enough
I’m strong enough, I’m strong enough, I’m strong enough
I’m strong enough
