Stacy Oliver

BandCountrySinger/Songwriter

I write my Lyrics when the mood or idea hits me. Ideas, for circumstances that happen, along life's journey, more often than actually being in the mood to write. I write Country! I cant think of any other Genre that would accommodate my state of feeling for true "Heart Felt" emotions.

Biography

I just write the lyric's.
Give me a tune, and I'll put words to it!
Or...I'll write the words and you can put the music to it!

A Global Warming Christmas

Written By: Stacy L Oliver

When I was just a child, and Christmas time would come.
The weather was for sleddin, and havin lot's of fun.
Seldom was the season, that we didn't have some snow.
To build a Christmas Snowman, with two eyes made of coal.

Then later in the evening, when the tree was taken down.
We'd drag it to a Bonn fire, on the other side of town.
Where everybody gathered, to show off their brand new sled's.
What's happened to white Christmases, we had when we were kid's.
(Chorus)
Santa can you bring back, the snow for Christmas day?
I'd like to see the face's, of the children as they play.
The Winter's now are warmer, since I became a Man.
I guess I should be happy, that I've got a Christmas tan.

I've had to change my thinkin, when I'm shopping for a Gift.
It used to be a Sweater and some Glove's would give a lift.
Every year get's harder, to decide what I should buy.
A Sled on Christmas Morning, would probably make them cry.
(Chorus)
Santa can you bring back, the snow for Christmas day?
I'd like to see the face's, of the children as they play.
The Winter's now are warmer, since I became a Man.
I guess I should be happy, that I've got a Christmas tan.

I know it's wishful thinking, things will turn around this year.
And a blanket of the white stuff, will throw up a Christmas cheer.
To see the joy a child get's, as their heading out the door.
Would bring a Global warming smile,...now who could ask for more!?
(Chorus)
Santa can you bring back, the snow for Christmas day?
I'd like to see the face's, of the children as they play.
The Winter's now are warmer, since I became a Man.
I guess I should be happy, that I've got a Christmas tan.

Listen to your heart beat

Written By: Stacy L Oliver

Can I still call you honey, babe, are you still on your own?
I know you still care for me, or you’d not pick up the phone.
And though I know I make you mad, with the things I say and do.
I think that you still love me, and I know, I still love you.
So before you think about us, and try to knock me off the line.
Just give me one more minute; just give me one more time…to make you

{Chorus}
Listen to your heart beat, as you hear my voice again.
Listen to your conscience; tell you I’m your only friend.
Hear your blood a rushin, as it travels to your brain.
Ask yourself how you could ever, put me through such pain.
And when you finally come to understand what life’s all about.
I’ll still be here for you even though you kicked me out.

Each day’s not always sunny, and the sky’s not always blue.
On the day’s it’s dark and cloudy, that’s when I’m thinking of you.
And if I can’t, stop thinkin bout you, and my heart swells up with pain.
Don’t go blaming Mother Nature, now; but it’s about to rain.
I miss you so badly, I could start a thunderstorm.
The weatherman would have to say, that this is not the norm.

{Chorus}
