"Staff Infection Rocks. You guys are really great players. You really have your stuff Together."

Pete Francis
National Recording Artist
Founding Member of the band Dispatch

"The music of Staff Infection was outstanding. This was the first time ever that we had entertainment as a part of our program. I heard comments from several people present that this was the best installation dinner ever. Your participation was a significant part of that reason...We had a diverse age group at our banquet, and I received many great comments about your group."

Ray Robertson
President: South Suburban Association Chiefs of Police

"I have been getting rave reivews of the band from the people who attended. What was very impressive was that the choice of your music ran across age, gender and racial boundaries. Our audience included youngsters, teens, adults and senior citizens from multi-racial backgrounds, and EVERYONE loved the music...I don't think there was one song that lacked a dancing audience. For the last three numbers of the night, it looked like everyone in attendance was out there dancing, smiling, and having a great time."

Mary Novak

"The music was definitely an added touch that made the evening a huge success...Staff Infection helped turn an annual get-together into a party."

"This Is Staff Infection and the South Side Horns" (2012)

Various Artists CD for the Cure (Compilation CD featuring a collection of the best south side bands to raise money for the Cancer Support Center; 2008)

High Energy Rock and Roll. That is how Staff Infection and the South Side Horns describe their music. The band has one purpose entertaining crowds. Musical Director Jon Elfner says If the audience doesn't respond to a song, we get rid of it. We want people to dance, move, smile, and most of all, have fun.

The key to the band's unique sound is their seven-piece horn section The South Side Horns. This group gives a powerful brass blast to their music. The combination of big horns, thick vocal harmonies, and the blistering guitar solos of lead guitarist Paul Fasse, gives life to classic songs like "Hold On, I'm Comin'", the Beatles "Twist and Shout", Chicago's "25 or 6 to 4" and the anthem of our city, "Sweet Home Chicago." Elfner boasts We don't fake anything. If a song calls for horns, you will hear horns, if a song calls for strings or fiddle, we got that too.

Playing a combination of classic rock, Motown, and songs from the 80s, 90s and today, Staff infeciton and the South Side Horns has played over 80 shows since 2002 to enthusiastic Chicago-land audiences at area festivals, private parties, corporate receptions and band showcases. The band has even been featured on the ABC Channel 7 Morning Show, where they were described as awesome by Chicago newswoman Roz Varon.

In April of 2007, and again in April of 2009, the band was invited to perform with national recording artist Peter Francis (Founding Member of the band Dispatch). In addition to opening for Francis to a sold-out auditorium, the band backed Francis for a number of songs. At the end of the performance Francis enthusiastically exclaimed Staff Infection Rocks! Band members have also performed with James Pankow, trombonist and founding member of the multi-platinum group Chicago.
