"Staggercrawl - Ridglea Theater, 2/18/05"

The scene was wild and the atmosphere electric as Staggercrawl shot a VH1-style video for their new song, “Sinner.” The band went through the tune three times to get the appropriate camera shots, and the excited crowd hung with them throughout. The set was complete with outward-facing lights, huge speaker cabinets, smoke and even some sweet pyrotechnics!
They then proceeded to tear the roof off the joint with a set of heavy groove-tinged original music that had heads bobbing, feet tapping and fists pumping. Go to www.staggercrawl.com, pick out a show to go see and get hooked on Staggercrawl yourself. (Kevin White)

"LIVE REVIEW APRIL 2006"

Live Wire, Staggercrawl, Revengeance, Thick 60 - Monte Carlos, 4/22/06
Leave it to Fort Worth’s Staggercrawl to convert the intimate confines of Arlington’s Monte Carlos into a bright light and wireless live musical affair. Production wise, Staggercrawl is earning a reputation as a band to see for their live show. Fresh off a road trip where the band showcased at The Whiskey in Hollywood, the band relied heavily on their self release Long Time Comin’ for their set of original material.
New comers Thick 60 consist of veterans from the scene. Young gunners Revengeance and Motley Crue tribute band, Live Wire’s extended set rounded out the night. What could have been just another laid back Saturday night patronizing the warm atmosphere of Monte Carlos was transformed into a night of favorites for the hard rock fan. "Staggercrawl - Monte Carlo’s, 11/6/04"

This band blasts off from the first chord, leaving you stunned like a deer caught in the headlights. Eric Pfeifer, with a brilliant and powerful C.O.C.-esque southern style of vocals, welcomed fans to a packed Monte Carlo’s for this Staggercrawl party. Marcus Timmier (guitar/vocals) comes off smooth and reserved, while brother Mark (lead guitar/vocals) is a raging Tasmanian devil with a wireless. Together, with Mark Hand (bass) and Eddie Lynch (drums), they serve up an intoxicating blend of energy. “Alive Again” is a mystic testimony to life - with a fresh break from the cookie-cutting styles of the scene (lately). Years of influences, solid business skills, techs and a hell of a light and stage show make this band a great escape from the ordinary This new band of veterans will be among the scene’s heavyweights very soon. "Staggercrawl/Element Eighty - Dreamworld, 7/23/05"

With each passing show, Staggercrawl is propelling itself to the top of the local heap. The band's dual-guitar driven, groove-metal style is quite infectious and, by the end of their all-original set, everyone in the crowd had the fever. Songs like "Killer," "Rabbit" and the highlight, "Long Time Comin,'" should go a long way in proving that Staggercrawl is the real deal.
East Texas grinders Element Eighty have a lot to prove, too, as they pick up the pieces of a broken record deal with Universal. The fans showed their loyalty, screaming along with familiar tunes like "Broken Promises" and "Bloodshot" and chanting 'F*ck Universal!' in between songs. E80 also played a couple of hard-hitters from the new disc they are currently recording, and the rabid crowd ate it up. The industry may be trying to hold these boys down, but great shows like this prove that Element Eighty is anything but out. (Kevin White) - HARDER BEAT

"DFW MUSIC REVIEW"

STAGGERCRAWL were truly amazing! They were harder and more complex than Metallica, and meaner and more in-your-face than Rage Against The Machine. The whole house was rocking from start to finish! Staggercrawl is what modern day metal should be, but seldom is. Each member has years of experience, but they are not stuck in the 80s, like so many over-the-hill, once-great metal acts. No, they are influenced by the great bands of that bygone era, but they incorporate their influence to create something new and beautiful- pounding, in-your-face, no-holds-barred metal! http://dfwmusiconline.com/lr-aug1905.html

"HARDER BEAT MAGAZINE CD REVIEW JUNE 2005"

Named after a line in the comedy film Yellowbeard and a night of hard whiskey drinking, Staggercrawl has a lot going for it. Relatively new, they’ve recorded a CD, shot a video, have promotion and marketing dollars behind them, and even have a commercial being shown on VH1 and MTV in the north Texas marketplace.

Their current release, Long Time Comin’, featuring the single “Sinner” is selling well through the band’s website and at live performances. A DVD package includes the band’s video to help spread the word. Eric Pfeifer (vocals), Marcus Trimmier (lead guitar), Mark Trimmier (guitar, vocals), and Mark “Meco” Hand (bass, vocals) have been the rock holding down the fort, but it wasn’t until Brian Sumler (drummer) joined Staggercrawl that they started their rise on the scene.

“The current lineup has been together since February,” Mark says. “We had a drummer problem for a long time, but Brian came in and he’s here to stay.”

Mark, a former member of Rigor Mortis, and Eric (former Dead Eye vocalist), recall many experiences from their shared past. “Man, I remember growing up with Pantera,” Eric enthusiastically states. “There wasn’t a Friday night that I wasn’t out at Joe’s Garage just going at it.”

Word of Stagger-crawl is spreading. “Power Rock 107.8 F.M. in Abilene Texas is having us on for an interview on June 17,” Mark notes. “It’ll be followed by a show at Club Platinum that night.” Hoping to play more shows outside the DFW area, Abilene is the first step along the way.

Staggercrawl has the right elements to do well - from catchy songs, to the support to put the band in the right place at the right time. The next time you see their name on the bill at your favorite club, stop in. You’ll probably hear fans chanting “stagger, stagger, crawl, crawl,” - or even witness it outside after the show is over. Either way you’ll have a great time, and the music will groove. You might even find yourself watching Yellowbeard with a whole new appreciation. http://harderbeat.com/archive/june05/html/feature002.html - HARDER BEATMAGAZINE-KATHY UTORKA

"LIVE REVIEW FEB 2008"

Staggercrawl - O’Riley’s, 2/09/08

The best way to describe Staggercrawl is pure raw power with a non-stop stage show. The band features Eric Pfeifer (lead vocals), Marcus Trimmier (lead guitar and vocals), Mark Trimmier (guitar and vocals), Mark Hand (bass and vocals) and Terry Sims (drums). Playing pulse pounding originals like “Sinner,” “Deranged,” “Double Dealing” and “Land of the Free,” they proved that original music is still alive in well in the DFW music scene and that they’re not afraid to show it off. They performed before a large crowd of fans, most of whom were at the front of the stage the entire show singing along with every song, Staggercrawl put on a show that will not soon be forgotten. Check them out next time they are at a club near you. The talent in the band is sure to impress you.
