Bio
Ever sat and stared at the clouds or stars? Ever taken' a bite out of a burrito and said "That is a tasty burrito"? Ever done these at the same time? Neither have we, but it's fun to think about right? This is the kind of thinking that sets Staggerin' Monks apart from others. The comedic, yet serious nature that lies in these three men is what makes them a great team of musicians. The type of people who can write a song about a lost friend, but still make sure everyone keeps a smile on their face the whole time it is sung with their antics are the type of people who make great music, and these are the type of people Staggerin' Monks consists of. (Ed. Note: Mr. Matt and The Deadly Sleep was written for friend Matt Edwards who Overdosed on drugs in August of 2007)
Formed on a cloudy afternoon in 2003 with a drum machine and 2 friends, Staggerin' Monks has risen to the challenge of making awesome music just for the sake of making it. Later being joined by their friend Geoff, Nick and Alan knew they had built the basis for a great rock band.
All 3 members are influenced by different things: Alan has a deep rooted love for 80's hard rock, Texas Blues, and 90's Alternative; Nick has a love for Industrial, and Heavy Metal Bands; and Geoff loves 90's and later Punk and Emo music. Together they mold these loves into a singular form of music they've dubbed "PunchYouInTheCrotch Rock".
