Feeling a bit camera shy

Beaumont, Texas Seems to be the middle-class, shift working, oil-refining capital of the world. With all the chemical plants injecting as much waste into the atmosphere as possible, you'd think that people wouldn't be surprised that along with all the acid rain, mutated animals, and diseases a new breed of metal has evolved. The members of Stale mind are surprising more and more people with every live performance. With Adam Myers's poetic lyrics and strong vocals, the band displays its originality and sets themselves apart from mainstream metal. But without the support of guitarists PJ Disharoon and Wade Stone, bassist Damian Smith, and drummer Chance Sweat, the vocals could only carry you so far. However as a group, they produce the perfect combination of beauty and intensity. With sounds reminiscent of the quite-loud bipolarity of the Deftones, the hardcore urgency of Korn, and the full on soul-baring, emotional assault of Glassjaw, Stale mind has not only found, but also perfected their place in the vast world of hard core-metal. The band formed in 1999 and could be found locked away in damp, smokey rehearsal spaces. Stalemind grew quickly by gigging and recording demos to be included on regional, national, and international compilation CD's (over 4000 to be exact). The members are growing (19-22), have incredible energy, and catchy songs that are destined to captivate fans on a national level. They have opened for national acts such as Default, Cky,ill Nino,Spine Shank,Sevnedust,40 Below Summer,Seether, Audiovent, The Union Underground and Blindside. In early 2002 due to Stale mindÂ’s growing popularity they independently recorded and released their debut album "Rust," which has sold over five thousand copies. "It makes you feel alright, and it eats you up inside, I miss you, burn this in me"..
