STAMPEDE may be a new name, but New England country fans should recognize all of the players from the other popular bands they once lent their talents to.

The long-running Silver Saddle Band brought lead guitarist/vocalist Fred Ellsworth, drummer/vocalist Tim Cook and bassist/vocalist Rick Hilton into the limelight where they stayed for many years. When it was time to move on, Tim and Rick joined forces with Almost Cowboyz, another circuit staple, sharing the stage with pianist/vocalist Rick Yelle.

At the same time, vocalist/acoustic guitarist Kim Davidson was making waves in DiggerDawg, a new band that gained momentum quickly, and took off like a rocket when Fred Ellsworth re-entered the country music scene and joined the clan, having worked on Kim’s demo back in the Silver Saddle days. Tim and Rick Hilton (who also worked on Kim’s demo) soon followed suit, and then the idea hit them... Why not bring Rick Yelle into the mix and form a NEW band? And what about Adam Ollendorff--the guy who sat in one night on pedal steel and left a lasting impression? Why not bring him into the fold as well? So that's what they did.

The result is a high-power mix of circuit pros who rock the house at every turn, with driving beats, edgy vocals, and a song list comprised of unique twists on old favorites, original tunes made for dancin', and covers showcasing all that's best and fun about country music and its closest cousins--new and old.
