After a quick soundcheck, Standing Behind You With Knives followed, playing what could be interpreted as an evolution to Tenth to the Moon's set. Though Standing behind you with knives plays fairly straightforward metal, the band followed Tenth to the Moon;s tendency to swing between extremes of intensity and quiet with almost Explosion's in the Sky-style instrumental interludes. Taken as two parts of a whole, the righteous indignation present in each band's set complimented each other, and it was an unexpectedly good midpoint for what could have been a disatrous night. - Performer Magazine

standing behind you with knives are a rare breed of musicians looking to find their place in the music industry. They have a unique style of writing and performing and have opened up for such acts as Black Dhalia Murder, White Chapel, and Mastadon. The music of standing behind you with knives lends itself to complete release, a way to breathe out the varying emotions that we as humans deal with everyday, not just anger or hate, but the whole trainwreck that makes up what we feel.
