Bio

Stanley (Stan G.) Gettis was born and raised in Aberdeen, Mississippi. He has been rapping and recording music since the age of 12. Stan G. became a local crave in high-school while releasing two independent albums entitled “Chapter 1 and Chapter 2”. He independently distributed these albums directly out of his book bag and through small “mom and pops” cd retails. In 2012 Stan G. released his biggest mixtape yet "Huey Newton" which garnered over 30, 000 DOWNLOADS and was certified the Bronze Award on datpiff.com. Following that in 2013 Stan G. released "The Last Supper" which is currently on the way of receiving twice as many DOWNLOADS. In 2010 Stan G. was signed through an indie label which received world-wide distribution through Universal Records. He left this label 6 months later after the CEO was indicted on contract fraudulent.
Stan G. then teamed up with Miami based dj “DJ BlackIce” and they begin to release a series of mixtapes called “The Higher Projects”. This garnered the attention of Travis White CEO of independent record label “City Life Music Group, LLC.” In March 2011, Stan G. and DJ BlackIce signed a deal with City Life Music Group, LLC.
Stan G. then went on to work and released his biggest project to date “The Higher Project 5: The Prelude”. In February 2012 the mixtape was certified Critical Acclaim Status by the independent recording charts of ASCAP.
Stan G. has been known to be very political spoken in his music. He released a song entitled “Black Hoodies” which was inspired to bring awareness of stereotypes and the “Justice for Trayvon Martin Movement”.
Following the critical acclaim status Stan G. and DJ BlackIce released : “S.I.X. (Stories In Time)”
