Biography

With cool vibes...And hot rhythm...Stanley Roots and the Tribe play the most melodic Reggae and Soca around. Stanley's band has appeared together for over seventeen years and duing that time their performances have always been polished and exciting. The full eight piece band is composed of members who have toured internationally with musicians from Jamaica, Guyana, America and Turks and Caicos.

Stanley Roots and the Tribe kick Reggae rhythm for the multi-cultural audiences that pack bars and night clubs all throughout the country. Along with performing their outdoor concerts to audiences of thousands, the band shared a stage with such artists as, Freddie Jackson, Jimmy Cliff, Burning Spear, Judy Mowatt, GQ, The Wailers, Tito Puente, R&B singer Joe and even performed for then first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton during the Democratic Convention. Stanley and the band played in front of Governor Pataki's headquarters in Albany, New York for 40,000 union members. Also, the band was invited to Baltimore, Maryland convention center to entertain 12,000 people for the Howard Dean campaign. They have also apperared on "Good Day New York" and the channel 11 NY show "Rolanda". The latest performance was New Years Eve 2004 in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Before 5000 fans packed in the street at the gala Elbo Room New Year's Eve extravaganza. Stanley Roots was the Headline band that brought in the New Year. This professional and multi-cultural band captivates audiences everywhere with it's energetic stage presence and authentic dress.

Discography

Their first CD "Stranger The Mix" is a collection of diversified original music ranging from Reggae, Soca, R&B, Dance music and rock. The latest CD "It's Christmas Time" has three songs that comprise a joyous mix fo Reggae, Jazz and Soul and includes a memorial tribute to the victims of September 11, 2001. Stanley is currently working on his new album which should be released sometime in 2005.
