The music of Stan Ray is as diverse as the world that inspires it.
It’s goal? Dynamic therapy for the revolving reality we call life.
It’s message? That life a’int quite right but it can always be better.
The feel? Keep it real.
The goal? Loose control, sing your soul, and let the whole world know…
So here’s a little bit mo’!

Stan Ray has been playing music professionally since 1985 when he joined his first rock band at age 15 in the college town of Bowling Green, KY. After graduating with a degree in Music Business in 2001 from the Art Institute of Atlanta, he followed his heart back to the neighboring town that had sparked his love of live music in those early days, Nashville, TN, playing and writing music with such acts as What is Hip, Treml Bigsby, The Cowards, Ned Van Go and Mr. Charlie. In 1997 he moved and started a family in Louisville, KY and had a short stint playing drums with Butch Rice, before moving his family to Savannah, GA to open Savannah Wine Shop, which he owned and operated until late 2007. Stan started having singer/songwriter showcases "in the round" at his wine shop, and continued this intimate setting for songwriters with the creation of The Listening Room with Jake and Miriam Hodesh in 2009, and currently the Savannah Songwriters Series with Jefferson and Tami Ross started in late 2010. Stan is currently a fixture on the Savannah and low-country music scene, singing for his supper in local venues, promoting local shows twice a month with the Savannah Songwriters Series, and most recently joining the new low-country string band The Accomplices on percussion. Stan can be seen playing with other note worthy local acts such as Eric Britt (Singer Songwriter Acoustic Duo and Band), The Ray Chandler Ensemble (Jazz duo, trio and band, standards and swing) and the Navigators (Classic Rock trio and band). His musical style is defined by his gift of vocals, and his love for blending multiple music styles into his own unique sound.
